OVERVIEW
Built for the Open Road
Rolling Around is the ultimate app for bikepacking, built by bikepackers, for bikepackers. Everything a cyclist needs to plan, navigate, and explore the world by bike, all in one free, revolutionary app. I joined as UI/UX Designer, initially to align the Figma system with the live product, and have since grown into the design lead for new features, UX strategy, and the app's broader visual identity.

THE PROBLEM
A System Out of Sync
When I joined, the team had ~50 screens designed in Miro but no production-ready Figma system, meaning design and development were out of sync, and there was no scalable foundation to build new features on. Beyond that early fix, Rolling Around needed a designer who could think beyond individual screens: someone to own UX best practices, evolve the product as new features shipped, and keep the design consistent across app, website, and marketing touchpoints as the startup grew.
